Greetings! I've started this group in the hopes of finding others who are interested in taking data - from surveys, clickstreams, and other sources - and turning it into stories. Looking for people who are interested in seeking and sharing knowledge related to data visualization, tools like Illustrator, PowerPoint, Keynote, and Prezi, and platforms such as Visual.ly and Tableau.

The Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art (LAAFA) decided to start a group in hopes of artists of all levels can find out about our school and experience our vibrant art community. We have many art programs that would perk any artists interest; Uninstructed (Live Model) Workshop Pass, Weekend Workshops, 8 to 10 week classes in Drawing, Painting, Illustration, Sculpture and Entertainment Art. We are hosting lifedrawing and painting workshops Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 10 pm. Both evenings are twenty-five minute poses for uninstructed drawing. We are located at 4451 Kingswell Ave, at the Northeast corner of Kingswell and Hillhurst in the heart of Los Feliz Village. There's a long driveway and we're all the way at the back, through a little courtyard to a burgundy door. The donation is fifteen dollars per session on a pay as you go basis.

The Yin and Yang of the Tai Chi symbol represents two extreme forces united in one. By observing the movement of the form, you realize the coordination is powered by the internal energy directed by the practitioner’s mind. Energy flow not only gives the power to the movement, but also strengthens the practitioner’s mind and body. In my class, I use Yang style to illustrate the principle of Tai Chi. But any school of Tai Chi may be analyzed by the same principle.
